Custom steel string and classical guitars, made one at a time, by hand, in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. My guitars are quite similar to those of my friend, renowned classical guitarmaker Thomas Humphrey, whom I worked with from 2001 to 2008. Most of these guitars are lattice braced, which enables thinner soundboards, giving the instruments great sensitivity, volume, sustain, and projection. This bracing scheme is a fairly uncommon in the steel string world. Factory production does not lend itself to this time consuming bracing system, hence, you will probably never see a factory made guitar with sensitivity and volume equal to that of these guitars. My steel string instruments are especially suitable for finger style players. The classical guitars are made to the exact specifications and dimensions of the last iteration of the Humphrey "Millennium" model guitars, using the same fixtures, except there is now a 2-way truss rod installed, as standard equipment. This feature enables adjustment of the neck "relief", by allowing correction of both forward and back bow of the neck, thereby maintaining optimal playablity and comfort.
